Sexual Assault

The Department of Public Safety is a resource for reporting a sexual assault and is the primary investigative unit for reports of sexual assaults on campus. DPS is not required to forward complaints of sexual assault to local or state police and generally honors the wishes of complainants. Exceptions may occur if the situation involves an ongoing threat to the safety of the Bryant community. 

To make a report of sexual assault, either: 

DPS works closely with the Hochberg Women’s Center and the University’s Title IX Coordinators and encourages victims to contact the Advocacy Helpline at (401) 258-4209 which is available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week to assist victims of sexual assault.
