Study Abroad Honors Program

The programs listed below are designed for students who are comfortable navigating a highly independent study abroad experience. Participants should expect to seek information directly from their host institution—both during the semester prior to departure and while abroad.

While this level of independence can be challenging at times, Direct Partner Programs offer a deeper cultural connection and a more immersive experience compared to programs run through third-party providers. Students often develop stronger leadership skills as they take greater responsibility for their study abroad journey.

The first step in studying abroad is to attend an information session. Dates, times, and locations are available on on Study Abroad Office page.

Due to the payment structure of direct partner programs:

  • Students pay tuition and the study abroad fee to Bryant.
  • Housing costs and other expenses (e.g., meals, insurance) are paid directly to the host institution.

This arrangement can result in cost savings, which students may choose to use for additional travel during their semester abroad. For detailed information on semester costs and fees, please visit the Costs & Fees section of our web page.

To earn Honors course credit, students must:

  1. Submit their overseas transcript to the Bryant Study Abroad Office for validation and grade conversion after completing their program.
  2. Upload a study abroad portfolio to the Honors Program Canvas site, detailing their experience, community engagement, and scholarship activities beyond the classroom.

After these steps are completed, the Honors Program Director will review the materials to determine if Honors credit will be granted.

Application Deadlines
