Disaster Plan

The Krupp Library Disaster Plan, modeled after the Disaster Preparedness Workbook for the U.S. Navy Libraries and Archives, outlines procedures to follow during an emergency.

The Following Topics are Covered:

Evacuation procedures with guidelines for various situations;

Contact information for staff and support personnel;

Descriptive emergency floor plans with exit, fire extinguisher, and pull -box locations;

Emergency information regarding fire, water, or system malfunctions, and phone numbers for contact personnel;

Other situations that include tornados, hurricanes, bomb threats, civil disturbances, and riots;

Cleanup and recovery teams with areas of responsibility;

Salvage procedures of library materials are provided in detail.
